Happy Birhtday To Me!

For my Birthday my Mom and CJ took me to the Sterling Renaissance Festival, in Sterling New York. It was a surprise. I unfortunately didn't have my costume done in time, but it was still a blast. It rained the whole ride up there, and when we got there it was still raining, but we decided to go in anyway. And luckily for us, it stopped raining long enough for us to enjoy ourselves. We had turkey legs, giant pickles, candied nuts, and got to watch the parade with the Queen. "Long live the Queen!" lol.

Shortly after this I feel asleep. I slept all the way to Syracuse. I was a very tired girl. Luckily CJ's lap makes a nice pillow. :)

4th of July

For the Fourth of July we had a family picnic up on the hill and some of us even camped out. (I got to use my new tent. Yay!) Even though I had to work I still got to spend a lot of time with the family and friends who showed up. And as the culmination to this event CJ and Scott planned an excellent fireworks show. CJ brought up a trailer and he set everything up on it. They went down shortly after dark and started blowing things up. They did a great job and put on a great show. So thanks guys!

Mr Toads Wild Ride

Okay, so I'm a dork and I ride around on the above little Yamaha. It's a ton of fun to just tool around on the little 80, plus, I always wanted a purple and silver bike.

After my first wild ride on the 100 that we have I have been a tad afraid of it ever since. I was right around ten years old when my Dad took me out to my cousins with the 100 and decided that I should learn to ride. So he got it started up for me and told me how to shift and how to go, but as I was flying through the field at a bagillion miles an hour in fourth gear I realized had no clue how to stop. I managed to miss the new house and the very large boulder and I miraculously never dumped it. My cousin had to run through the field to cut me off and to tell me to let go so that I could finally stop. Needless to say the homeowner came out and yelled at them for letting me ride a bike that was 'too big' for me (even though I could pick it up) and not telling me how to stop.

Anyway, after that my Dad picked up two 80's, put them together so that the purple one would run, and ever since I have ridden the little purple bike. Even though I might look somewhat like a bear on a bicycle... but my Dad looks even funnier on it. Now that's a good laugh.

Update: As of July 4th weekend I have ridden the 100 again. I decided to start it up and see how it would run, and I must admit that it rides much nicer through the fields with all the bumps and hills. :)

The Pool

I'm currently working five days a week, somewhere between four and six hours a day. In my spare time I watch an obscene amount of movies, read an obscene amount of books, and try to keep the house somewhat organized and the lawn mowed. Plus I have started a craft endevour that is going to be and is proving to be quite challenging, I'm attempting to make a renaissance period costume. So we'll see how that turns out.

Anyway... back to work... The other day in only four hours time I had 105 people in that little pool, and at one point I had 46 in the pool plus five with their feet in the water. It was pandemonium. So... for those of you located far away... here is what my work looks like...

And on that note... it's time for me to go to work... Hope everyone is enjoying the summer and isn't dying of heat stroke and getting sun burnt!
