Went outside today to find this 'little' guy by the garage door. I picked him up via a shim we had lying around and put him where he would safely be away from Diesel, as I was afraid the hyperactive dog would trample the poor thing. Isn't he neat?
He has a very large body, which is covered in brown fluff and his legs remind me of a tarantula, but he only has six of them, and they too are covered in fluff. His antennae are the strangest I've ever seen, in the second picture they make him look like some sort of mutant bunny rabbit with wings. And of course, knowing me, I had to pet him, he is indeed fluffy like a bunny. His wings are neat in that they look like eyes, to scare away predators naturally. All in all a very interesting find for this fine Saturday.

I cut it all off...
Well... I got bored with my hair and decided to cut it all off. And above is the shoddy results. After having hacked it all off I decided, once again, that short hair and I just don't suit. You think after 21 almost 22 years of life and of growing it out and cutting it off at 4-6 year intervals that I would have come to that conclusion already.
Anyway, after being home for a month already I am finally getting started at work. We have a meeting tonight to get the pool in order and then we should be starting here shortly. Once I find out the number of hours I'll be getting a week I get to go searching for another job... so we'll see how that goes.
Also, I finally got my garden in. I got it in a couple of weeks late because the weather couldn't decide what it wanted to do and I had to plow it up and get it all started from scratch as there wasn't going to be enough room in the existing garden with all the stuff my mother wanted to plant. Last time I checked on it (Friday night) only my sunflowers were up. Which doesn't surprise me because we hadn't gotten much rain and they are all drought resistant. But I also planted pickling cucumbers, mini 3 inch pumpkins, and bird house gourds, plus some other flowers.
Well... that's really all for now. I hope everyone else is having a great summer!
